It’s the last meet up of the year for local classic car enthusiasts!

The group will meet in the Engine Room for a talk on various car related topics.

Because of the cost of heating, we are asking everyone to pay £5.00 towards the cost as a gesture of goodwill but we will throw in a coffee or tea.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to open the door into the drawing room at Barton Court and see the graceful proportions that were created by Henry Lambert in 1783?

On Saturday, 25th November, you will get the chance.

In conjunction with Force of Nature chef, Alexander Mcallister-Lunt, we are offering afternoon tea in the drawing room.

Alex is a man passionate about local, seasonal, foraged and undervalued ingredients such as mugwort and hogweed. His menu is deeply rooted in the surrounding countryside with some of the produce coming from our very own garden.

Tea will be served from 2pm and can be accompanied by Prosecco if you feel like pushing the boat out.

From 11am until 3pm our team will be on hand to show you around the spaces, introduce you to our co hosting partners, Epic Caterers, and answer any questions you may have.

Make your own umami condiments with chef Alexander Mcallister-Lunt, the Force of Nature chef.

Create miso using chickpeas. Make shio koji, a tasty marinade that works as well for vegetables as it does meat.

And finally, brew up some amazake. Calle by many the ‘liquid IV’, this Japanese beverage is good for you on many, many levels

Cook along with Chef Alexander Mcallister-Lunt to create apple and ginger sauerkraut, koji cranberry sauce and 3 hour sloe gin.

Those magnificent men are back, This Thursday, 26th October, they will be gathering outside The Loose Box at Barton Court for their monthly fix of all things petrol.

Everyone is welcome. You don;t have to have your own vintage or classic car, just enjoy them.

The cafe is open from 9:30am for bacon rolls and the meet usually winds up after lunch.
